Rainy days

Hi again,

So it has not been too long since I last blogged. LOL. I'm not very good at it. I could never be a professional blogger. Anyway, it's good to be back. Things have been progressing, I finally finished REMEMBER ME. I have to say I'm quite proud of it.

But one thing bugs the hell outa me: I pay a lot of money to editors to edit my work, and it really makes me mad after paying all that money to people with a long list of credentials send back my work with mistakes. Even their own mistakes. Someone reviewed my book MYSTERIES AND SECRETS and said there were a few mistakes in it. I immediately took it down from Amazon and went over the entire thing. I was so disappointed not only with the editors and proofreaders I pay to work on my books, but also with myself. I have a bad habit of not rereading the entire manuscript when it is returned to me. Maybe because I think if I'm going to spend so much money for someone to edit my books, I should get first class work. I actually hate the fact that editing is broken up into segments: copy editing etc. I know one cannot catch every single mistake, but....

On a different note, I am presently working on an audio for MYSTERIES AND SECRETS. I had no idea it was such hard work. It's murder on the eyes. My throat got dry yada yada yada. But once the editing is done, I think it will be great. Dare I say fabulous? I may even go as far as adding music to the audio for more relaxation to my listeners/ readers. You have no idea how excited I am. I actually tried to hire someone to do the audio, but when I listened to the voices I decided to do it myself. HOPE YOU LIKE IT. Oh, beware of the sites you use to get editors and proofreaders. They are not very upfront with their credentials. They make up stories. Just a little FYI from someone who has tried a couple sites. I won't name names.

Oh, another thing: There are not always sexual scenes in my books. I love to write a love story. I like to build up to  sex. First comes love then comes sex. I think sex is a byproduct of love, and the love must come first. I mean, people have sex all the time without love. Do prostitutes fall in love with their johns? Only in Pretty Woman. So as I said, I like to write a love story where the heroine falls in love with the hero, not the heroine first jumps into bed with the hero to see how things go. What do you think? Am I right or am I right? Email me or just comment below. Thanks a lot.

Long time

It has been almost four years since my last blog, so I have come to the conclusion that I'm not a blogger. I cannot get up in the morning and the first thing on my mind is connecting with people to tell them how my day is going because I don't know how it will go. But I have to admit this pandemic has me doing and exploring new things. For instance, I'm now not only a bird watcher, but I have feeders and houses for them. I can tell you the names of a few birds. I can even tell you what they are by their sound. Isn't that crazy? Nope! I'm not the only one. I now have a garden with beautiful pots and vibrant flowers. I can't put the flowers in the ground because the soil is not good. So I sit on my patio and watch the birds feed and fight or sing and kiss. I watch as my flowers sway to the rhythm of the wind. I water my flowers every day or every other day. I drink more green tea lattes. OK! So now you're all caught up with my life.Simple, isn't it? I wish it were. Oh my goodness! I should not forget that the sequel to Mysteries and secrets: REMEMBER ME will be coming soon. It took me awhile to finish, but I finally did. I'm not going to blame the pandemic. The pandemic is being blamed for too many mishaps. I had writer's block for quite some time. It happens. Oh, and I'm going to try and put voice to recorder and record Mysteries and secrets. I may even do the same for Remember Me. what do you think of that. HA!

Peace and Love my friends.

Angels around us

It's Thanksgiving day and before you know it will be Christmas. There are many things to be thankful for. I am thankful for life, health, family and friends. Of course, along with my sister Rose, I am cooking again this Thanksgiving. My family is not very large: my two sisters, son, daughter and their  Read More

This is my favorite time of year

Ok, so it's been a while since I blogged. But forgive me. Between my granddaughter, (who by the way will be two years old next month) and finishing A KISS TO BUILD ON and everything else including working on another book I've been swamped. Maybe I should say, life gets in the way; you

I'm back! Has it been that long???

I can't believe it has been that long since I wrote on my blog. OMG! I'm not going to say I had nothing to say because I have a lot to say. But right nowI would like to talk about something that infuriates me. The kidnapping of young women up and down this country  Read More

Good times

You know, I wish I could write a blog every day, but I can't. Don't ask. Maybe it's because I am always busy even when I'm not writing or because I don't have anything insiteful to say. Not sure. But anyway, I'm here today. I'm trying hard to get more well written books out  Read More

A pot of gold

At the end of a rainbow you find a pot of gold: really?
I have a small six month old poodle, Tippa. She loves to go no no on any rug or carpet in the house. I also have a chihuahua, Dot. She's a year old. She seems to sit and watch the poodle go  Read More

I'm in a good place now

I'm in a new place now. A good place. The way I figure it, instead of waiting for someone to do things for me, I do it myself. You know that old saying; if you want something done right, do it yourself. Even though people think they know you, no one knows you better  Read More

Things are looking up

Things are looking up for me again. Sometimes all you have to do is hang in there and believe in yourself. No mater what others say, you have to trust yourself. I'm not going to say I never listen to anyone, but I very rarely do what others tell me to do especially if  Read More
